Settling in - Bozeman

Well, it's been a while since we've posted anything. Our time in France was fantastic. Jenn finished well on her final exam; a huge improvement from her pre-test in late May. We arrived back to the USA on July 1st for a surprise 70th birthday party for Jenn's dad in Philadelphia. He was so surprised that he almost fell over! We spent about a week in New Jersey and New York visiting Jenn's family and friends. Then, we spent a week in Iowa doing the same with Tim's family and friends.
We road-tripped back to Bozeman with Tim's mom in mid-July and have been settling in here for the past few weeks. Jenn is working part-time nannying and Spanish tutoring and Tim is working part-time on a home construction project with an old friend.

We have been reflecting on our year-long trip and every time we end up saying, "Wow! It feels like we never left." We still can't really believe that we pulled it off... a year-long trip. It is nice to be getting back into a routine and not planning every day for travel logistics. That said, we are so happy to have had this experience as newlyweds. What a way to kick off a life-long partnership!

Top half: August 24, 2016. The flight to Guatemala City.
Bottom half: The final leg of the journey, June 30, 2017. The flight to Newark, NJ.

Fourth of July BBQ with Jenn's high school buddies.

We found a Salvadoran pupuseria near Jenn's mom's place in NJ. We had to get some in honor of Mario. (Mario is doing well in France. He is working toward becoming a French citizen and it is going really well for him so far!)
We cleaned out a lot of old things of Jenn's back at her mom's place in early July. This one was a gem: eighth grade Student Council presidential election campaign materials.

Tim's boots finally died after a trip round the world and one week on the construction site. (late July in Bozeman).

Jenn has been spending lot of time prepping for the wedding reception including scavenging wildflowers for table centerpieces.
